What Cricket Foundation project is about? Give a detailed introduction.
Pruthvi Rao | CEO
Cricket Foundation, the world’s first global community-owned, community-operated project for the sport of Cricket, Cricket Foundation aims to build several applications and uses within the platform meant for the Cricket ecosystem. The platform is designed to incentivize the Cricket ecosystem partners into building a high utility platform that accrues in value and will enhance the worth of all the possible applications that eventually get enabled on the platform. These applications will include; Digital Collectibles, Merchandising, Licensing, Rights Management, Ticketing, Fan Tokens and Engagement, eSports, Gaming and gamification, Auction and Endorsements.
Jonty | Host
Each project has interesting stories before it is created. So can you tell people about the story that gave you the motivation to build and develop unique project like Cricket Foundation?
Pruthvi Rao | CEO
Not many people know, but we worked together to create some of the first NFTs in cricket in 2018 …. And we had done ticketing, and memorabilia …. after the market came back to life earlier this year, we restarted the whole venture … and got back everyone. We truly believe that a sport like Cricket — India’s biggest passion — deserves its own ecosystem and token
Jonty | Host
What is the token Use case? And will it be useful for the ecosystem?
Pruthvi Rao | CEO
The use-case is for use with all products and services listed and offered on the platform. We are starting with an NFT marketplace…. but have already started talking to various partners for adoption — game developers, franchises, etc…
Eventually, we hope that all of the cricketing world will use CRIC tokens to offer various products and services.
More details about this in the whitepaper.
Jonty | Host
What are your future plans? Any upcoming partnership? Also share some memorable milestones achieved.
Pruthvi Rao | CEO
Cricket Foundation has already signed over 50 ecosystem partners from 10 countries across various roles, including the likes of VVS Laxman, Parthiv Patel, Deep Dasgupta, Jason Roy, Lance Klusener, Wasim Akram, Shaun Tait, Boria Majumdar and Jamieson Campbell. It aims to add over 1000+ partners, who will all own a part of the ecosystem. Some of its notable backers include cricketing legends and famous personalities…
We are continuing to sign up 2–3 partners every day!!
All of this is even before the launch …. after launch, this will take off much bigger
Natz | Host
se applications will include; Digital Collectibles, Merchandising, Licensing, Rights Management, Ticketing, Fan Tokens and Engagement, eSports, Gaming and gamification, Auctions and Endorsements.← what kind of applications ??? Gaming sounds like the future, just like MPL of virat and Dhoni’s another app — are they your competitor’s?? How will the RBI and BCCI look at this in terms of blockchain ??
Pruthvi Rao | CEO
Decentralizing gaming is the future…. same games with network rewards ! … no middlemen. We are already in discussion with some of these names 🙃 to launch decentralized versions of the games with CRIC tokens as the base.
BCCI is already evaluating how to commercialize their digital assets …
Natz | Host
u mean BCCI is going to be a partner??? 😍😍😍
Pruthvi Rao | CEO
RBI — will have to see…. just for the purpose of clarity, Cricket.Foundation is based in Singapore, where it is perfectly ok
Natz | Host
I see a lot of Ex-cricketers and commentators and columnists — are they actually a part of this with contracts and agreements ?? if yes , it would be a great incentive to have them in a video clip in website commenting on this , is an marketing idea i had in mind :)
Pruthvi Rao | CEO
This is our first AMA — next AMA, we will get some of them as well ….. 😎
Natz | Host
We truly believe that a sport like Cricket — India’s biggest passion — deserves its own ecosystem and token ← Amazing , but can you elaborate more on how and what use case will the NFTs have other than a blockchain Digital photo — which can be copied and pasted ?? As mentioned in Q4 from your end — the usecases are defined in WP , but as a long term investor in Crypto and in AMA — can you give us an actual use case for NFT ??
Pruthvi Rao | CEO
NFTs are investible assets — just like how people buy paintings as an investment… classic double-spending problem solved…
We just got covered by Wisden — a world-leading Cricket magazine, and they have explained this better — https://wisden.com/stories/brave-new-world-cricket-and-nfts.
Natz | Host
yes i have read this — but just wanted to see your response on this :) Amazing and honest answers :) i am already liking this team 😍😍
Pruthvi Rao | CEO
Just to clarify — it's not about copy-pasting — it's about OWNERSHIP and TRACEABILITY… I'm sure you have some videos you can see, but you cant trade.
Natz | Host
Is this an Part of Zebi ? or its owned by Zebi ? As i can see Sports Management Company , 10PL as investors or stake holders??
Pruthvi Rao | CEO
Zebi is building the layer 1 tech for this… …and is one of the tech partners…They are all token holders…. 👍
Natz | Host
The recent Wasim Akram NFT launch — what do you say about it?? sorry to butt in — as he is in your Team list
Pruthvi Rao | CEO
He has a non-exclusive arrangement with us …. It's a hot space, there are many players …
However, our proposition is not limited to NFTs …Anyone who knows crypto knows that NFTs are <5% of the opportunity. We are quickly adding Defi on NFT, Ticketing, Endorsements, Sponsorships, etc on our platform
Everything cricket needs
Natz | Host
you say DPoS — Proof of staking in eth network ?Just to add, as we add more products/ services, and utility increases, thats when 🚀
Pruthvi Rao | CEO
CRIC is its own Mainnet, not ETH/ERC. You can also run a validator to get rewards :)
Natz | Host
great answers — looking forward to the BCCI news ASAP ;) @Jontycrypto am done , Thanks

How will the demand for token will increase in the future ? or What steps would you take to increase the demand? May I know how do you plan to attract more business partnerships to your project?
Pruthvi Rao | CEO
All products and services on the platform will use CRIC tokens as the primary medium of acceptance… This will inherently build buy orders on the token…
As our products and services increase, we will keep adding more and more partners to join and build ….
In fact, even as of today- we welcome anyone who wants to build on this — and start accepting CRIC for some services/ products :)
@QuNguyn61793298
There are an increasing number of NFTs being created across a broad range of platforms like music, art, gaming and collectibles. So how does Cricket Foundation differrents from the others NFT marketplace?
Pruthvi Rao | CEO
This is exclusive to Cricket …. for cricket lovers, by Cricket lovers ….. If you want beeple, you can go to opensea or rarible, if you want Dhoni/Kohli/CSK/MI — come here ☺️
@MrDung732002
Almost 2/3 of investors are focused purely on the price of token in short term instead of understanding the real value and health of the project. Could you tell us on motivations and benefits for investors to hold $CRIC in long term?
Pruthvi Rao | CEO
Yes…. my suggestion is to always HODL …. 😂…
CRIC is a DPoS token … meaning you get rewards for staking ….
That apart, the true value is realised over medium-long term ….
In general, you can keep scalping 2–3% on a daily basis and lose some….. but if you really want 100X — BTFD and HODL!

With blockchain being such a young industry, partnerships are an integral component of any project’s journey. Which types of partnerships have Cricket already attained and what are the plans on this front moving forward?
Sibtain Baqri | Team
Very rightly put. We are in the process of forging some big partnerships around key verticals in the cricket space. Be it gaming or ticketing, it’s on the way…
Divya:
Your project has great features. There must be an experienced team behind. Can you tell some about your team and their experiences in the market?
Sibtain Baqri | Team
Prithvi has been a Blockchain champion and a fintech veteran having served the worlds largest organisations. Same with Sudheer who understands finance and tech having served on the board of worlds leading companies.
Atul is an entrepreneur who has championed technology into cricket and was the first to introduce motion sensors in cricket. Myself Sibtain, have been around in cricket running IPL and other franchises and pretty much everything at the topmost level in cricket. There are many more team members who bring in a wealth of experience across verticals and have than 2 decades each.
That’s all…
