Please tell us about yourself and the team working on Myriad.Social?
Danny Myriad.Social
So, again and with great pleasure: HI EVERYONE! I am the CEO of Myriad.social. Since the structure is pretty new, I oversee many things, but mostly the product and usability side of the project, in addition to being one of its ideators. I started to work in IT in the 2000s and started to work within the blockchain industry around the year 2014. Made products, made communication, made whitepapers for ICOs (before it was even called ICO), and now, back to the roots with Myriad, since (not only me, of course) I’ve been wanting to make a social network for a long while now. I’ve got some other experience, I fathered the first legal music download website in Indonesia, worked in the video games industry (I absolutely love video games), and sometimes I do art. I don’t have a twin whose last name starts with a W.

What Myriad project is about? How it works, Give a detailed introduction.
Danny Myriad.Social
We’re aiming to get several targets at once. First of there’s the matter of sovereignty, which is something we all keep close to our heart in the team.
Right now, “if it’s free you’re the product”. Unfortunately what’s happening is that huge social media platforms influence the way 2 billion ‘products’ see the world, and choose for them what should be seen or not, on the top of being the custodian of their online lives. Then there’s the problem of monetization. You can advertise yourself on Facebook, talk to your fans on Patreon, but you can’t do both, and certainly not in a decentralized manner. So Myriad will start with the aim of ultimately being owned by its users. And right now one of the first available features is tipping, with stablecoins. There’s a lot coming up. You can already try the app on myriad. social and you’ll see that you can import posts from various social media. Users can tip those posts, and if you claim your social media timeline, you’ll get the tip. That’s of course discounting Myriad-native tipping. We want to open the platform to the community, from a technical perspective too. So after a while, Myriad will be augmentable with modules, which will allow users to customize their experience, and will allow developers to tailor ‘services’ on the top of Myriad to offer their vision of what can be done with it. So, in a nutshell. Myriad is a modular web3 social _platform_ that allows users to easily transact while socializing. BuuUUuuuUuuut! It comes with a Metaverse! And I’ll let @mbakpandu tell you about it!
Danny Myriad.Social
So here’s a really cool Demo of what the metaverse can do.
Soon you’ll be able to access it with Myriad credentials.
Jonty|Host
What is the token Use case? And how will it be useful for the ecosystem?
Danny Myriad.Social
Basically, our idea is: if you contribute, you’re rewarded.
The first thing will be to get you some $MYRIA to compensate for your gas fees when you tip. If the tip lands, you get an additional reward.
Then, moderating, hosting, validating, will also get you $MYRIA. It might maybe perhaps mayhaps be linked to decentralized moderation as well. Then, for utility, you need Myria to mint: mint your post, mint a social token (all with confirmation that you own these social media accounts) and even… mint land and additionally, for advertising (did we mention our decentralized advertising model?) you need MYRIA to mint ad spaces as well as put up ads on ad spaces and of course you need it for governance — both local (content server shard) and global. We’re trying our best! But that doesn’t mean that this innovation is happening in a void. We see the demand for what we’re offering right now, from direct monetization to NFT to social data sovereignty… There’s a lot of things to cover, mostly for the sake of users.
Pandu|Decentricity|CEO, Debio.network
yeah i think this is a great way to do it, since when you are tipping people that are not yet on Myriad, and the person comes into Myriad (and the tip lands) then you are effectively helping Myriad to grow hence the $MYRIA ewards.
also, speaking of tips landing — the Myriad metaverse lands will have a strong relationship with the $MYRIA token as well. you can buy land / mint land with $MYRIA. but you can also earn $MYRIA using your land.
Jonty|Host
What is the competitive advantage of Myriad? Who are your competitors
and what makes you different from others?
Pandu|Decentricity|CEO, Debio.network
Facebook.. and we’re different since we’re not Facebook.
Danny Myriad.Social
Haha @mbakpandu has a real short and efficient answer here. Going more into details, one huge thing that differentiate us from the major social media players now, is that we aim at being owned by our users (well the platform, not us as people. To me, it’s not very logical to call yourself ‘social’ me, and belong to anyone but your community. If you look back at the intro posts, about Myriad itself, you’ll see how different our concept is. Myriad is the product, the platform, the medium, the tool for empowerment. Users are the platform’s owners, not its product.
Jonty|Host
Could you please provide some progress on your Roadmap and also tell us
about your partners?
Danny Myriad.Social
We’re targeting Myriad’s launch end of November, collaborating with 2dver.se, co-founded with Unique.one. We’re also looking into a partnership with a data management firm.
If you want to see the progress as we push updates, you can visit https://app.stg.myriad.systems/home and get on board! Of course and most importantly, we’re the second app chain going live on the OCTOPUS network. Feature wise, so far you cal already tip, and import post from Twitter and Reddit (tip them, too!), and claim your tips when onboarding. That’s on the testnet though so you can’t make a fortune on it YET.
TWITTER ROUND
- I understand that what a social tipping is. But I saw on your website a
different kinds of tipping which is called “Meta-Social” Tipping”. I didn’t understand well about it. Can you please explain if we tip a user who still not in Myriad then how will he get the money?
Danny Myriad.Social
So, basicaly, the ‘meta’ in ‘meta-social’ comes from the fact that you can import posts from your social media, and send them a tip on Myriad. If the post’s author isn’t on Myriad yet, they can simply claim their social media account on Myriad, this is painless, and not using any centralized API. Then when they’re onboard, they receive all the tips they’ve accumulated before joining.
- What is the biggest difference between Myriad with other social mining app in other network like Steemit, Hive, etc?
Pandu|Decentricity|CEO, Debio.network
- something that would be immediately obvious is that we are drawing in web2 content from the beginning. you log in to Myriad and connect your Twitter account, you automatically follow everyone you follow on twitter. if the posts of the person you follow on twitter are imported into Myriad, you see it immediately as well.
- we allow tipping to people that are NOT YET on Myriad
- we are not just blockchain, we are blockchain + federated. which helps a lot with the scalability, and also allows someone who runs a myriad content server to not only have the freedom to host, but also freedom to NOT host certain content. This is based on older non blockchain decentralized social media such as Mastodon and diaspora: You can freely host your own Myriad server for your political beliefs or community, and set your own rules for your own server, including content rules. — we also ensure that everyone who wants to mint their web2 social post as an NFT, or mint social tokens based on their profile, needs to confirm their ownership of that social media account first through our permissionless account confirmation module. thus you can’t mint, say, Joe Rogan’s Twitter post and claim it as your own. Only Joe Rogan can do that. finally, none of those have a Metaverse. 🙂
- There are 3 core issues prevalent in crypto and blockchain: Security,
Interoperability, and Scalability. How does Your Project plan to overcome these issues?
Danny Myriad.Social
Security:
We’re using the LPOS, (Leased POS) consensus type, which is right sized -meaning just right when it comes to resources.
Interoperability:
We’re on the NEAR protocol, which allows to connect to multiple blockchains (Rainbw bridge to ETH, Octopus bridge to the rest o the NEAR ecosystem, IBC bridge to other Appchains, and independent Blockchains.
Additionally we’re also researching a wall to connect multiple wallets to a single account.
Scalability:
We’re using a dual architecture, both federated and blockchained. The blockchain part takes care of transactions like NFT minting, tipping and everything smart and contract.
For the rest of the network, as long as data aren’t minted, they are hosted on federated servers. We’re planning a lot of good things about those, by the way, since we want our users to discover as much content as they can with ease.

Will the NFT be worth a few million dollars soon? Do you plan to add Nft ecosystem to your project?
Danny Myriad.Social
We’re already teaming up with not just one but TWO NFT platforms.
For our next hackathon, METABUIDL, we’re going with PARAS, and on a daily basis we’re partnering with Unique.one
The land on our Metaverse might actually reach some good price.

Is your smart contract AUDITED, is your SECURITY strong and top notch, ’cause a strong project is more important to investors? Is your smart contract AUDITED, is your SECURITY strong and top notch, ’cause a strong project is more important to investors?
Danny Myriad.Social
Before our IDO, we’re going to be audited by OCTOPUS as part of their standard procedure. Since they are experts in interoperability, both us and our users are in good hands.

Right now, we’re in the midst of our private investment round. You can contact us privately or HERE (https://www.myriad.social/myria) I shared earlier to join-in. Besides, we’re going IDO pretty soon!

Do you agree that the community is a key factor in the success of the project? I know that the project has achieved a fairly successful stage, but in future plans, do you have plans to benefit some communities soon?
Danny Myriad.Social
So, this is a good question. I know that it seems obvious that a social platform is aimed at communities. But that said, what communities exactly? You look at OnlyFans for instance, you know exactly where you stand. Myriad, well, right now and at launch we’re addressing creators, builders, movers, all those people who create and monetize online and are currently split between connecting and creating awareness on social media, and offering their creations on other sites (it could be Patreon or others).
Here, we want to bring communities around not only topics, but things that are made, that can be exchanged, contributed to, and that can benefit creators when it comes to getting out of the cup noodles regimen. That said, we’re really focused on facilitating the smoothest possible onboarding (soon!), so even if you’re not a creator, you can support and enjoy quality stuff by people you know or want to know, as opposed to a stream of ‘related’ content that an algorithm has decided for you.

I care deeply about personal privacy, personal and organizational security, and the decentralization and sharing of power. What are your goals and motivations for taking on anonymity with transparency in general specifically as your project priority?
Danny Myriad.Social
Privacy is indeed very important. The first step we’re taking towards protecting it is choosing to be a pseudonymous platform. As long as you don’t doxx yourself, it’s a simple but effective measure. We are planning to have data monetisation but will be entirely opt-in and based on sovereign data. Going further, you can expect all the Ux and technical know-how to be invested in minimizing data leaks. Our ideology towards privacy is that everyone is entitled to it. One huge philosophical question current social media are asking is ‘If something is good here, is it also good there?’ -culturally, some things are more accepted than others depending on the community, but in some places, voicing your support for something otherwise legal in the rest of the world can get you in trouble. We want to foster debate, let people talk, express themselves, and find common grounds. At this point, pseudonymity is key to protect people’s identity.
Pandu|Decentricity|CEO, Debio.network
Even without connecting your social media account on a web3 layer of privacy on top of your regular social media, you can tip. even if your social media account is a pseudonym, you can connect it. Myriad works anyway. another layer of privacy that we consider paramount: the fact that algorithms, or #bigtech, don’t control your experiences or your data. we want to be a Myriad of people working together to build communities. on a Metaverse or on a web-based social media.

What is the most ambitious goal of your project? What is the ultimate vision that Your project is trying to achieve within the cryptocurrencies market? I would appreciate it if you could share with us any Upcoming Updates?
Pandu|Decentricity|CEO, Debio.network
Defeat Facebook.
for real. the idea behind Myriad, is to create a Myriad of federated social media serverse working together.
we are also building things that make it easy for Myriad server owners to pull in content and this is where other web3 social media fail
the lack of content pulling content in would be a game changer
additionally, having the same experience you have on mainstream social media (copying your follows, etc) would make it frictionless to move onto Myriad, it would be your social media aggregator
and it would be a web3 social media of your own
and when we mean your own, we really mean ownable by you and run by a global community. the reason we have a Metaverse as well is that this is the future of human social media interaction facebook recently declared they are a “metaverse company” we have declared the same.
Onyejekwe Paul
What is the most ambitious goal of the project? I would appreciate it if you could share any upcoming updates with us? What should the community look for?
Danny Myriad.Social
You know WordPress, I’m sure. Do you see how they took the web by storm and lever left? They propose frontends, you just provide the data. Myriad, well we want it to provide the data, and let everyone decide with to do with it, through modules not only for frontends but for any aspect of the platform. Basically, in the future, if you have an idea about how to improve Myriad, you just implement it, and you can already access the data that’s on the platform. A lot of people say “If you don’t like something, do it better”. At that point we’ll provide you with the tools to make Myriad better, to make it your own. EVEN IF YOU ACTUALLY DO LIKE IT!
