Striker
I am Striker from India itself 😄, the Community Manager of Metaderby. I have been in the crypto space for over 2 years.
The main team consists of:
Karm (Co-Founder): Hardcore Gamer who runs his own Guild in Axie Infinity who drove the initiative of Metaderby and wrote the algorithm.
Misu (Co-Founder): Misu has over a decade of experience in the casino gaming industry, from Finance, operations, and VIP Marketing.
Muse (Co-Founder): She joined Binance in 2018 as a global PR manager. She also led growth and operations in key Binance fiat-to-crypto business line from scratch to 2 million weekly active users in 2 years.
Wei (Strategic Advisor): Wei is the former CFO at Binance and led the investment department and multiple business lines.

Where do you see GameFi in 5 years time and how is Metaderby positioned to take advantage?
Striker
We think GameFi is the next big thing in crypto. That’s why we’re here. We saw DeFi and NFTs get huge for a while, but it’s time for the reign of DeFi. We’re implementing a free-to-play-and-earn model that I think will be standard for GameFi projects in the future.

Cheaters not only hurt other users’ gains, but also run counter to your core concept of rewarding sportspersons. So Does MetaDerby has any anti-cheating System in oder to protect the benefits of vast users?
Striker
Well, MetaDerby currently doesn’t have any tools to support scholars
So all players have to operate manually. There is no “shortcut” in playing the game.

What is your perception of the current market situation, and how are you planning to counter it?
Striker
Well, this is not our first bear cycle already haha. I think we’re in a market correction period, which would be a good challenge for all people in the industry. If you look back in crypto history, all the GREAT projects and companies are born in a bear market, and they went thru the bear turn and boom. For MetaDerby, we are lucky to get enough funds and we have a mature and solid team to deliver a good gaming experience. For us, this is just the beginning, and we appreciate our investors and community for their support.

Can you list 2–3 killer features for your project that makes it ahead of its competitors? What is the competitive advantage your project has that you feel most confident about?

MetaDerby launched its initial beta version on May 6, 2022, which was only accessible to its early NFT holders.
Since then, MetaDerby has launched new gameplay and features, including:
a) its in-game marketplace and NFT horses;
b) a free-to-play mode allowing anyone to complete social tasks to claim a Starter Horse for free and experience the games;
c) death racing and tournament racing;
d) a mobile-adaptive version for players to play the games on various mobile wallet apps
e) gear NFTs to enhance the performance of your horse
And so far, the most interesting part would be:
a) Free to play
b) Death racing
c) Tournament racing with lottery prediction
d) Gear NFT
Play to Earn games are becoming more popular, however most of the existing games that use this concept are too expensive for newbies. Will your games be affordable and accessible to the general public, or have you taken any steps to appeal to a wider audience?

a) We have a F2P model allowing anyone to complete some social tasks and claim a Starter Horse for free and play the game
They would just need a Metamask/ Kaikas wallet & very small amount of AVAX/ KLAY tokens.
b) We are partnering with some partners to make it easier for beginners to access MetaDerby. CoinsPH is one of them to lower the entry barrier
c) We’re planning to develop a scholarship system
What are the additional benefits of holding tokens over not holding your tokens and are there also advantages for long term holders? What plans do you have in place to help drive token demand and scarcity?

So we have two tokens in the game: governance token $DBY and gaming token $HOOF
HOOF serves as the fundamental gas in MetaDerby and has unlimited supply. HOOF’s use cases include:
- Entry fees to attend horse races
- Entry fees to stables by male horses
- Breeding fees for male horses
- Mystery box purchase
- Materials purchase and constructions for farm lands and race courses
In the game play, users can earn HOOF via the following ways:
- Become the Top 6 in a horse race
- Win horse racing lottery
- Host a horse race and get the revenues
Derby (DBY) is the governance token in MetaDerby and has a total supply of 1,000,000,000. DERBY’s use cases include:
- Metaverse land purchase
- Staking rewards
- Gaming governance
Players can earn DBY by winning the weekly tournaments or breeding by a male horse.

How do you plan to spread awareness about your project in different countries where English is not good? Do you have local communities like Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Korea,.. so they can better understand your project?
Striker
We have ~10 mods from all across the world and they speak English, Chinese, Filipino, Spanish, Russian, Turkish, and Hindi. They’re very responsive in communicating with our players and resolving their issues. In our discord server, we also have multiple language channels.
