Could you please first introduce yourself?

That would my pleasure. My name is Bogdan Filip and I am happy to be here with all of you, attending this Humans.ai AMA. I am the Head of Global Community at Humans.ai, a next-generation blockchain platform that brings together an ecosystem of stakeholders around the use of AI at scale.
About myself, I’m a 29 years old master’s degree graduate specializing in “Business Consulting” and “Business Planning”. I can tell about myself with enthusiasm that I am person-oriented towards business growth and sales. The last 8 years have carried me through different sectors of activity (like IT, consulting, cyber security, retail, blockchain and cryptocurrencies) where I have held positions from entry-level to management. All of this journey led me to the most interesting project I’ve seen until now — Humans.

Can you tell us more about the vision behind humans.ai, and why did you start this project?

Our vision is to scale human potential by democratizing creativity through AI. Humans.ai is building the world’s first ecosystem for AI modelling, training and governance. It is creating an all-in-one platform for AI-based creation and governance at scale, beginning with an initial focus on synthetic media. Through its creative studio and token-based ownership and accountability system, Humans.ai is designed to ensure contributions are fairly rewarded and that every AI is kept honest over the long term. We plan to continue investing in innovation, empower creators to build without limitations, and innovate using blockchain technology and AI, everything based on governance and transparency for all AI models generated on the Humans.ai platform.

Tell us more about the team behind humans.ai, and how your experience has led you here?
Bogdan
The core team is based in Romania, we are in the process of opening an office in London in order to expand our technical and business team. We are 40+ working eagerly and obsessively on this project — this obsession, I think, is the most important factor for success. Apart from CEO (Sabin Dima), the team is led by key team members, such as Prof. Nicu Sebe (Head of AI), who has 20 years of experience in Machine Learning, currently serving as ML director at Trento University. At Humans, Nicu oversees building the AI Advisory Board, using the expertise of the advisory board members to make us identify the main research/entrepreneurial area to concentrate on. Another key member is Razvan Munteanu (Head Of Strategy). His wide experience in capital investing spreads over a more than 25 years’ timeframe. He was the first businessman in Romania to see the potential of blockchain and cryptocurrencies and to invest big in this huge fast scalable market. Having a keen eye on spotting good projects he was amongst the first to foresee and contribute to Elrond`s success. When “Humans” was brought to his attention, he immediately saw the prodigious potential behind the project and became not only its first investor and a co-founder but also in charge of business development and strategic planning.
Lucian Nicolescu (CTO), has over 20 years of experience in developing web-based solutions, backend architecture and managing technical aspects of organisations with an eye out for identifying innovative ways of getting things done. In charge of backend development along with the team of developers, APIs communication between services and clients. Florin Otto (Head of Blockchain) has 10 years of experience in product management and blockchain. Blockchain and crypto enthusiast, experienced tech entrepreneur, and product executive with deep knowledge in building and managing multiple products across different companies and diverse teams. Demonstrated success in building and managing blockchain products from ideation to the actual implementation, product launch, and ongoing management. Part of the Humans founding team, leveraging previous experience and connections in the field, managing blockchain, crypto & product. Dragos Costea (Head of Research), who has worked for over 10 years in the area of Machine Learning, is a PhD candidate in computer vision aiming to find the best technology mix for video synthesis. This means not only realism but also fast generation for mass deployment. Dragos is proficient in the following technologies: natural TTS, neural video animation (keypoints, mesh, segmentation), neural radiance fields. And many more super-humans that you are going to meet in the near future! They all salute you!

So let’s talk about humans.ai’s competitive advantage. What differentiates you from other similar projects?
Bogdan
Humans create the world’s first decentralized AI execution model which secures your data within an AI creating unique data products, with a strong focus on synthetic media. It combines a library of AI tools into a creative studio suite where users will be able to pick and choose as they bring their ideas to life. Individuals are empowered to create and own their digital likenesses, which may be used by themselves and others in the creation of any number of digital assets. The synthetic media, AI apps, and other digital assets utilize blockchain technology to generate Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) as a way of creating transparency, accountability, and long term governance.
Similar projects consist of closed platforms, use cases and research limited to their in-house teams, as opposed to the open community humans.ai is building.

Can you tell our community a bit more about your $HEART particularly about the token utility?
Bogdan
Sure, so as the native token of the HUMANS ecosystem, the $HEART token empowers anybody to participate in the governance of the platform and facilitates key flows of value within it. All fees charged by the HUMANS platform will be paid in $HEART, even when payment originates in fiat or another accepted cryptocurrency.
One of the primary functions of $HEART is to facilitate staking. Staking $HEART is required to perform key functions within the HUMANS ecosystem, including:
- Minting NFTs
- Account Validation
- Creating dApps
- Adding AIs to the Humans Studio
Additionally, $HEART will serve as the default incentive as various stakeholders contribute key value to the ecosystem. These incentives include rewards for:
- Creating an AI Developer Uploading Technology account and getting it validated
- Account Validation (KYC)
- Participating in Governance
- Providing Proof of Human

We’d love to hear a bit more about your roadmap so far and what is coming next. What key features are you developing?
Bogdan
The key features we are working on are part of the Humans Application-Specific Chain. We are building technology around the encapsulation of AI to empower people to participate in governance, management and decide the fate of any AI, essentially making sure that the objective of the AI is aligned with the human’s objective. Everything that we do stems from the fact that we put humans at the forefront of this AI revolution. We are creating a new consensus mechanism called Proof-of-Human, which relies on humans to leverage their biometric data to prove that a specific AI is still under close biological supervision. Our key milestones in building the ecosystem are:

Token Generation Event — December 2021
Humans Summit — Q1 2022
Testnet Launch — Q2 2022
Proof-of-Human App Suite — Q3 2022
Mainnet Launch — Q4 2022
There is a great effort behind each milestone in order to be achieved. Each and every milestone challenges us with research that was not encountered before in the blockchain and AI space.

Can you tell us more about the functionality of the project?
Bogdan
Of course! As you know, our project is heavily reliant upon AI. By using this wonderful tool that AI is, we have managed to give humans all over the world the opportunity of tokenizing any form of human nature, ranging from their voice and physical appearance, all the way to more complex aspects such as choreographies or dance moves. They’re so many that I’m sure not even our team has managed to discover every single aspect tied to the functionality of this project. Let me give you an example that I think most people will understand and resonate with. We all love our grandparents, as they usually contribute a great deal to our growing up. However, we know that they can’t be here forever, unfortunately. With the use of our technology, one can change this to a certain extent. Picture those stories that your grandma used to read you as a kid. Now you can record her voice and use it in the future, long after she is gone, to have her read stories to your own kids or even to hear that golden advice that only she knew how to give.
Another example could be tied a lot more to some financial aspects rather than emotional ones, as was the case above. Let’s suppose a big company would like to shoot a commercial consisting of a person that is very good looking, can sing really well and is the best dancer. With our technology, this person can be composed of up to 3 different people, each making available what they are best at. As such, the said company would be able to use the voice of person X, the looks of person Y and the dance moves of person Z, putting them all together into a single person and having that person complete the commercial without them or the company having to travel at all, thus simplifying and the whole production process and making it more cost-efficient also. With this option, every participant would of course receive payment for their contribution, all stipulated within the smart contracts of those 3 NFTs (the face, the dance and the voice). As I’ve said, the possibilities are limitless, it’s all up to you as Humans to think about them and discover more every day.

Why does AI need Blockchain technology?
Bogdan
We, as humans, are tool builders. We built tools to move, to construct, to express in artistic ways, managing somehow to create today Artificial Intelligence, which is the greatest tool that we have ever built. Through which you can create anything you can imagine, scale yourself and scale your potential. But if you can create anything, the question that arises is “What needs to be created” and how do we decide? And one is created, how do we know what is real and what is not. So, the greatest tool has the greatest problems. The good part is that humanity gives us two technologies at the same time: AI and Blockchain, and Blockchain provides a real solution for AI’s problem. If we ask how we can decide what needs to be created, we can encapsulate an AI in an NFT and to have (1) ownership, (2) transferability and (3) a governance system around each AI (AI DAO). If we want to create a platform at the scale we incentivize the researchers to deploy their technology in Humans platform through the token economic model and we can offer transparency through the distributed ledger, making the Blockchain the perfect medium for AI to evolve.
We believe that in the near future every piece of technology will contain a piece of AI within it. Using blockchain technology we could harness the full potential of each and every human, harnessing the power and the unique fingerprint of each and every individual. If everything can be created by anyone the blockchain technology allows us to transfer each piece that makes us unique overcoming existing problems regarding ownership, usage, and governance when it comes to barriers regarding payment, patents, uniqueness and ownership.

You mentioned the Proof-Of-Human technology, can you please elaborate on that?
Bogdan
Our Proof-Of-Human technology is one of the things that make our ecosystem truly special, the cornerstone of our decentralized ecosystem. Everything we do stems from the fact that we put humans at the forefront of this AI revolution. Humans become validators in an attempt to build the framework to contain, manage and govern AI. Proof-of-Human is a new blockchain consensus that relies on humans to leverage their biometric data to ensure close biological supervision of every AI. Humans.ai empowers people to participate in governance, management and deciding the fate of any AI, essentially making sure that the objective of the AI is aligned with the human’s objective.

Can you List 1–3 Killer features of your PROJECT that places it ahead of Competitors? What is the Competitive Advantanges your platform has that you feel most confident about?

The key features we are working on are part of the Humans Application-Specific Chain, with a strong focus on Synthetic Media. Imagine any movie dubbed in any language, your favourite artist narrating your favourite book or even yourself speaking in real-time in any language in a Zoom call. At the same time, maintaining the ethical framework, everything that we do stems from the fact that we put humans at the forefront of this AI revolution. We are creating a new consensus mechanism called Proof-of-Human, which relies on humans to leverage their biometric data in order to prove that a specific AI is still under close biological supervision.

Of course! December 2021 started in full throttle, with the Humans.ai IDO, which was a successful milestone! Allow me to pinpoint the most important fact-checks regarding the IDO:
1. The IDO took place on Dec. 9th, at 15.00 pm UTC on Polkastarter platform, and was an immense success!
2. It was the 4th most popular IDO in the world for the past weeks, according to cryptorank.io!

Hello! The answer is yes. The actual process would be to create AI-generated content through our Humans Studio. That specific content would be an NFT — non-fungible token, which you can operate as a company. Either sell it as a final product or pay as you go (rental mode) for specific requests/scenarios.
