Could you start by introducing yourself and perhaps regarding the key team behind CodyFight to us? What kind of backgrounds do you guys have prior to Codyfight?

I am Linas Balsys, a marketing manager. I would call myself an amateur gamer and senior problem solver. 😂
Our CEO and CTO are founders of the game and also top-notch developers who started thinking about creating something like Codyfight years ago when they noticed a lack of opportunities for tech-savvy people to earn money while utilizing their skills in a fun way. I must also mention that we gathered very motivated and skilled developers, and artists to make the game amazing in all aspects and have a strong backup of partners and advisors. Right now the team consists of 16 members covering the most critical areas of the project’s development.😏

What is Codyfight, where can we play it and what are the starting costs? How to earn rewards in Codyfight?

Codyfight is a blockchain-based AI vs. human competition metaverse that brings together creative, tech-savvy, and multi-talented people in a community-driven game.
Our goal is to become the ultimate place where the bravest individuals can compete with AI algorithms by defeating them in one-on-one arena battles.
The game focuses on a wide variety of users! It is not only for programmers and gamers! Many people can benefit from it such as artists, community leaders, content creators and of course investors!
As for the part where you can play it:
Codyfight Game Widget is built to be easily accessed on any device that can render an HTML and JavaScript code — which is basically any web browser 😉 The game will be accessible via any device that can connect to the internet. So basically any device that has a browser and can connect to the internet can be used to play! Pc, laptop, phone, smartwatch or even a smart fridge or toaster 😂 😂
And the starting cost will be $0.00 ❗️
There will be no entrance fee to enter the game and start collecting rewards 😎 Although there will be other costs throughout the game (e.g. competitive games and tournaments entry fees (CTickets), additional robots (NFT skins and CKeys)) You can invite your friends to play and have fun with them in non-competitive mode using the keyboard or touch controls or challenge them in code battles with your pre-programmed bots as well, without costs. 🤯 Codyfight is the first game that gives you the opportunity to actually create your own skin as NFTs, which you can sell in the marketplace and get money for that. As well as Codyfight’s reward features include winning robot battles, skin drawing and trading it outside the game, organizing official tournaments, and finally knowledge sharing and trading: robot software, NFT skins. Also, there will be minor rewards for solving simple daily challenges 🧩

Tell us about the Codyfight Token. What utilities does it have and how does it benefit the investors?

The Codyfight Token $CTOK is an ERC-20 token that can be traded on Ethereum, Polygon, and Binance Smart Chain blockchains. The main network is Ethereum with bridges to other blockchains. CTOK serves the purpose of keeping the economy of the game alive 📈
Using this token you can purchase CTickets, NFT skins, multiple Robot subscriptions (CKeys), repair skins, rename your robots, and much more. CTickets give an entrance to competitive arena games while NFT skins make the Codyfighter look unique and stylish. ✨ $CTOK holders will get early access to the asset drops that will be available for purchase before general release. CTOK holders will also get early access to the platform and will be the first ones invited to test new features. Early access will also include certain exclusive drops and other events that will be revealed a bit, later on, 😉 The game will also feature an auto staking mechanism for those of you wondering 😉

How does the gameplay work? What are Codyfighters, Special Agents?

Codyfight is a multiplayer one-on-one AI coding web-based game. It is a turn-based strategy that can be compared to a chess game for programmers
The entity a user controls in the game is a battle-ready robot — Codyfighter 🤖 AI or human-controlled robots navigate over a two-dimensional dynamic-size rectangle tilemap. Each round has 25 turns where every player can make a move. They can either choose to move, use abilities or items that will either help you, damage the enemy, create new barriers and so on! The main goal of the game is to collect more points than your opponent by completing various in-game challenges (such as capturing the main antagonist Mr Ryo). The full extent of the abilities is yet to be revealed to the public, but that is happening right around the corner as we move closer and closer to pre-Alpha testing soon! 😏 Codyfighters are your in-game battle-ready robots that either you or the AI code controls in battle. Each Codyfighter consists of an NFT Skin & CKEY combination. There are two base types of Codyfighters — Creators and Destroyers. They are represented by the default robots Foo and Bar. 😁
Each of these types has multiple classes that will dictate your play style and the abilities that you can learn from them. Codyfighters will have abilities that represent their type and class thus allowing the player to play around with different mechanics and strategies. Each class will have 1 signature ability and 3 random abilities that will complement the signature one. ⚔️
Special Agents on the other hand will be the game’s NPCs (non-playable characters). They will also have unique skills and interactions with players. Some try helping you, some want to hurt you 😂 For example, if you capture Mr Ryo you will get extra points, but if you get in the way of The Ripper you will be torn to shreds 😅 Capturing the Legendary Llama awards players with extra $CTOK drops

One of the utilities of #CTOK token is early access rewards. Can you deeply explain this feature? What do you mean by “early access”, i.e. what is the time gap between a user with an early access and a normal user? What are the benefits of having the early access?

It really depends on the feature itself. The time frame can vary from a week to a month or even a few. It is really hard to say when speaking in such broad terms because it’s hard to compare the significance of certain features.
I read on your roadmap that in the second quarter of 2022 #CodyFight there will be “MVP Launch: Alpha release”. Can you provide more details about this version of your game? And How can we participate in this Pre-Alpha version?

Yes, the alpha version is planned for Q2 of 2022. It will be one of three huge milestones coming in Q2. We plan on starting off with the IDO Token launch, then proceeding with the release and sale of the first-ever Codyfight NFT collection and finishing it off with the release of the Alpha game version.
Now to answer how you can participate in the Alpha — we already started off with our mini-game series that include certain challenges for our users to solve. Once the challenges are beaten, the users who passed are added to the invitation list for the Alpha version. Quite a few more of these challenges are brewing, so make sure to follow us closely on social media, so you don’t miss your spot.😉
I read that #Codyfight offers several options to earn Codyfight Tokens (CTOK) by playing their game. Can you share with us what are the ways to monetize my skills in the game? Is there a ranking system that awards more earnings to top players?

Short answer — yes. 😂
The players will be earning rewards by winning competitive arena matches and the rewards will be distributed in $CTOK. Higher ranking players will receive higher rewards. And you can increase your earnings by scaling AI robot farms where multiple AI controlled Codyfighters will go into battle simultaneously and increase your profits by the number of robots you use.

The difficulties we face right now are shared with the rest of the industry — we were held back by the bear market for quite a bit, but now we feel like coming out strong! 😉 I would say the biggest challenges await when we start nearing the Alpha version, because then all the minor bugs come out and thats when the devs have their work cut out for them 😂

You can contribute to the development of this project by spreading awareness. As well as our ambassador or content creator programs. We did close the entry for the Content creator and social ambassador programs but since a lot of new users expressed that they missed out on it and want to sign up, we might bring it back really soon!
2. Artists can draw their own NFT Codyfighter skins and sell them in the in-game marketplace as long as the skins are up to Codyfight standards. Once the standards are met the skins can also be traded outside of the game

Yes, the idea is to introduce a never before seen side of the P2E model — Create2Earn! This means that you can use the talents that you are good at and generate passive income by doing the things you like!
Shortly gonna repeat myself:
1) Artists drawing skins and selling them to the community
2) Developer making and selling/ renting AI bot code for scaling robot farms
3) Community leaders and influencers earning by organizing tournaments

Yes of course there will be strict standards for the NFT skins. That will be done to regulate the quality so that the store isn’t flooded with poor quality cheap skins. 😁
