Hi, hope you guys are doing well. I’m Loi, you can also call me Ben. I’m CEO and Founder of the 12 Legions project. My background is IT engineer and I’ve worked over 18yrs in this industry. You know, when I was a kid, I loved playing games, especially strategy games (Settlers IV, Cossacks, Heroes of Might and Magic III, Age of Empires) I have a dream to make my own game, and I did it 16 years ago, a web version of 12 Legions game, but I still feel I’m missing something, a big question still in my head, how can a game become balancing between joyful & also let users earn a real valuable prize. And then, I learned about crypto and NFT, and I feel like it opened a new horizon and made my dream come true. So I decided to REMAKE 12 Legions and bring it to the community again. Not just a game, this is a metaverse where people who love strategy & RPG games start their adventure and earn together.
I was lucky to meet Mr Andy here, a person who wholeheartedly supported me while laying the first bricks for the project. With Andy’s help, I am strongly confident about our Roadmap of this project. In our AMA today, Andy will assist me in answering questions from the community.

I have 16 years of experience in the Software Development industry as Senior/Principal/Team Leader/Solution Architect/CTO working on large-scale systems on several domains such as Blockchain, IoT, AI, Big data, Cloud Management, Banking,…etc.

What is 12 Legions? Please provide a detailed introduction.

12 Legions is a turn-based strategy game in which characters are represented by unique NFTs on the blockchain system. We want to create an open world, with fantasy lands, where players can become Lords, ruling their lands. Make rules, resources mine, trading, recruit troops, summon Heroes, and of course, explore & conquer new lands. With Blockchain and NFT technology, we will make in-game rewards worthy with users’ efforts and make everything more transparent and fair. For more details, there are some features of our game:
- World map: A big map with Twelves lands
- Village & Clans: Help players create their clan and get more resources by occupying.
- Adventure Mode (PvE): PvE battles will help you level up heroes, collect materials and POM (our in-game token)
- Arena Mode (PvP): This mode allows players to defeat the other’s Heroes. Hence it is recommended for more experienced players. In the 1st release, there will be 03 classes WARRIOR, ARCHER and CLERIC, 03 more will come shortly in the next update. We also have plans for more evolved classes in the future. Each character in the game has its appearance, attributes and characteristics. On the on-chain system, they are represented as NFTs and cannot be tampered with. Players will need to choose the correct game characters and equipment for the gameplay in order to win and earn tokens. That’s overall. You can get more details in our document guys.

What are the features of 12 Legions? And what makes it different from other games? Also tell us about 2 basic tokens in 12 Legions?

Well, that is a little bit difficult to say, I mean, every other game has its own pros & cons. But our project was something, something very different. First of all, we’re gamers, also biz men, so we know what gamers need and exactly what the investor wants. Therefore, 12 Legions would combine traditional strategy games and the modern economic system. Our game has linked gate technology and smart contract optimization so in-game players can easily connect the wallet to the server, claim tokens or exchange with a minimum gas fee. But the thing that made us super confident is 12 Legions had a great team with passion and talent, and we will not stop fighting, thinking, working on that 24/7 until it is a success. And finally, we have a clear Road Map with interesting features that can let users explore and stick with it for a long time. There are two basic tokens in the 12 Legions:
- $CTL (Chaos of Twelve Legions token) — This is the token for project management and system development. The max supply for CTL is 220.000.000. We have 3 rounds for fundraising, including Seed Round; Private Round and Public Round. We only raise sufficient funds to develop our project and staff because we do not want to waste investors’ money and time.
- $POM (Piece of Material) — This is the in-game token. POM will be automatically minted from the game system to reward players. We will set the limit for POM after releasing the main version of the game system. Players are rewarded with POM tokens when winning in any battle mode. POM is tradable on exchanges like PancakeSwap or Uniswap.

What does the name 12 Legions represents? Also share your Roadmap.

12 Legions represents 12 Lands in our big world, and each land will be a new challenge for users to explore & conquer. 12 is the number of months in a full year. We hope 12 Legions will also be a complete combination. In addition, we started working at the beginning of 2021, and the project has almost finished the 1st phase of development. But the gameplay is based on the version of 12 Legions that we’d built 16 years ago. Let’s continue with our Roadmap. We have just finished the rounds of fundraising. The IDO date for CTL tokens is December 3, 2021. Game Starter, Starter, and Starpunk are three IDO platforms. On December 4th, a portion of the IDO funds will be used to create liquidity for the fair-launching. This will create investment opportunities for small investors. Besides that, we already have the game in the testing stage. The marketplace and server system is ready for testing on a limited scale (over 5k -10k users). And in December, the last month of this year, you guys can expect an alpha test very soon. We will have specific plans noted in the Roadmap which you can easily find on our website (https://12legions.io/)
But some notable features we can note as follows:
- Completing infrastructure, ready to receive a large number of users. Right now, we’re aiming for 200k Daily Active Users (DAUs)
- Adding PVP and Tournament mode so that players can do more challenges and interact better with friends
- Adding more Hero classes, more skills (> 240 skills) for users to combine and choose
- Adding more NFT items, balance item stats and Heroes.
We would like to improve it better day by day. So we need a long-term plan for our project.

What are the key features of $CTL technology and products that you believe will help you succeed? How would you earn revenue to support the project’s development, and what strategies do you have to attract more users in the future?

eWe will start with a brief overview of $CTL. $CTL is a token used in 12 Legions for management and development. The following are some of the features of $CTL:
- Smart contract of CTL includes an Anti-Sell function. As a result, short-term traders’ negative impacts will be mitigated to some extent. That’s how we protect our token.
- $CTL is a must when participating in the game system. As previously stated, 12 Legions is intended to be a multi-functional gameFi metaverse project, 12 Legions offer a wide range of items. $CTL holders will get access to explore all features of our project. This gives us confidence in the success of $CTL and also 12 Legions.
About the revenue, we have initial funds after raising to develop our project and improve in-game features. When the game launch, Game fee and team allocation is the source revenue.
All transactions are transparent and easily verified on a blockchain. For gamers, we have a lot of features that will keep players sticking around to explore. If you’re a non-gamer looking to invest in our project, 12 Legions is not just a game, it has a complex ecosystem around it offering in-game businesses, staking, holding, etc.
People are always worried about the transaction speed because they worry about their transaction going to fail. How fast and secure is 12Legions platform? If the number of users spikes, will transactions on your token get congested?

Oh, it’s a big problem on BSC and many other blockchain networks. And we also have a plan to solve this issue. Firstly, our marketplace, where users can trade NFT on it, is built in-house so the speed will be fast and secure. Secondly, we have carefully calculated the default gas limit to both minimize gas fees for all on-chain transactions, and the fee is just enough for fast and non-congested transactions. In addition, our game has linked gate technology and smart contract optimization so players can fastly connect the wallet to the server, claim tokens, or exchange with a minimum gas fee. We have also contacted famous audit parties such as Certik, Techrate, … to optimally support and complete smart contracts. We will publish our audit-proof when we finish it. And one more thing failed transactions will be notified so users won't waste extra transactions fees. These are some solutions from our development team for the congested issue.
What is the ultimate mission that “12Legions” trying to achieve in crypto field? Obviously, crypto market will experience huge growth in upcoming years, so which role would you like to play in this game?

Oh, what a big question about the vision and future.
In recent times, many projects promise to be “play-to-earn” but are simply “click-to-earn” games with little entertainment value. We are game creators and we aim to provide the community an actual gaming project. Users may utilize the blockchain platform for more than just financial transactions; they can also play games with various entertainment components. We aim to be a pioneer project in the metaverse NFT games. Not just a short-term trend, we want to bring users a real metaverse. They can truly experience our real products in our strong ecosystem. We’ve step by step built out our ecosystem to adapt to the growth of the blockchain industry.

Most users only care about immediate benefits rather than the real value of the project in the long-term. How can Your Project convince users invest to your platform in the long-term?

Honestly, we prefer long-term investors. Too many short-term traders are not really good for a project. First of all, we’re gamers and we also do business, so we know what gamers need and exactly what investors want. 12 Legions is a combination of traditional strategy games and the modern economic system therefore 12 Legions is for both gamers and non-gamers.
Various exciting features of the game are to keep players sticking around to explore. Players will experience a lot of entertainment values where they could build their own empire. Of course, we have put a lot of effort into the project, and the ability to generate revenue from non-gamers is also a key element. We have and are still working on a lot of cool features for non-gaming users to monetize in the 12 Legions ecosystem. Even for short-term investors, we are confident that the carefully calculated profits will make them happy to participate. I think with these features, we can make the short-term investors can become our long-term holders.

BSC is currently a very strong growing blockchain network and has a fairly complete structure. Many investors love the updates of BSC in recent times.
BSC has one thing that we like very much, many other platforms have not done like them, and that is the transparency.
People can track all the information of any transaction on BSC. Especially for game-fi projects. We have the server system and we have a gate to connect it with the blockchain system. An investor can follow all the transactions on BSC so that they can be assured of the transparency and decentralization of the project. Investor confidence and safety is the top priority of 12 Legions.

Do you have any plan for burning tokens in the future to reduce the supply of the token and increase its investment attractiveness?
Ben Lee
Sorry to keep you waiting, we wanted to make the details as clear as possible for our community. Yes, of course, we have. We have a built-in monitoring system that measures the growth of in-game Token. In that way, we can adjust the burning mechanism anytime to avoid inflation. There are 3 main ways to burn in-game tokens:
1/. Staking heroes to the resources mine by using POM, this feature will help players gain in-game Materials in return.
2/. Breeding by using a combination of Hero A & Hero B to create new NFT Hero by using governance token $CTL & in-game token $POM
3/. Crafting/ Equipment by using $POM & in-game Materials.
Our goal is to aim for a balanced ecosystem between earning and burning tokens.
For the free token, we will distribute it through our tournament feature (You can check the timeline on our roadmap).

Do the token holders have the right to participate in the governance of the project? What kind of decisions can they vote on about the project?

All token holders are also owners of our project, so feedback is taken seriously as we want to keep improving our game to bring you all the best possible experiences. We’ll create options collected from all holders and everyone has the right to vote on those options. Every single feedback will help make the 12 Legions stronger. Your project name seems to be very interesting. Does it have any story behind it? Can you share us with the inspiron for approaching to this name?

As I have mentioned in 1st part, 12 Legions represents 12 Lands in the game, and each land will be a new challenge for players to explore & conquer.
We want to build a huge world in our game with 12 lands.
Here is the fairy story behind, the inspiration for us to create the game:
Millennia ago, there was an ancient power called the Soul Orb that had the capability of destroying the world.
One day in the distant past the Soul Orb’s power grew too deep and exploded all throughout ElvaLand. The Dark Powers seized the opportunity to rise and invade ElvaLand. Heroes from all corners of the land gathered together to collect the broken pieces of the Soul Orb in order to forge mystical weapons to squash the Dark Powers. That is how the war between Heroes and the Dark Powers began. 12 is the number of months in a full year, as well as 12 Legions that will be the pieces to create a complete metaverse world. That’s what we want to bring to the community.

NFT is a hot topic right now, but NFT isn’t just for art. Does your project think there will be many NFT use cases? Why should we take NFT seriously?

As we mentioned above, our game is not just a click-to-earn game, but also a win-to-earn — That requires players to use NFTs (Heroes, Items) bought in the marketplace for the game and spend their time, set up the formation in-game, use the right skill cards to win the battle — and that’s the reason why we take NFT seriously because each hero is unique. They can also use Heroes for staking in the resource mines to gain more in-game materials which will be used for crafting items to increase heroes’ stats — hence increasing the chance of winning a battle. In the future, we will integrate more functions for our NFT, both heroes and equipment. Let’s join us for more information guys.

We are working on a lot of cool features for every user to monetize & have fun in the 12 Legions ecosystem. Here are the 03 features that differentiate 12 Legion from its competitors:
1/ MarketPlace — The renting feature will be included in MarketPlace. Non-players can purchase and own Heroes that later can be rented out for money. It’ll usually be a small fee to rent Heroes instead of buying them. This feature allows small investors to rent Heroes to try out the game.
2/ Tournament — Allows players to bet on potential teams or players to make profits.
3/ Invest to become the landowner (Lord) and focus on businesses like tax collecting, and gain more in-game resources from other players in their land.
